Tejas LEE Training of Trainers (TOT)

The Tejas LEE early reading assessment is currently being revised for the 2010-2014 school years. All teachers and staff who administer and work with the Tejas LEE will need to receive training for the revised kits which will be released in the summer of 2010. Training for the new kits has been reformatted to allow for more flexible delivery to teachers and campus staff.

Who Should Attend

Individuals who will be coordinating training or directly training teachers are invited to attend a Tejas LEE Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions. Districts, schools, and ESCs should plan for sufficient Tejas LEE trainers to meet the needs of the teachers in their schools and regions.

Cost

The cost for one individual to attend a Tejas LEE TOT session is $100. This includes the cost of all training materials, a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day.

Each attendee is responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements and costs, as well as dinner each day of TOT training.

Registration and Payment

• Individuals are welcome to register for the session that is most convenient for them to attend.
• Registration for all TOT sessions will close 3 weeks prior to the training date.
• You may pay the registration fee in one of the following ways: 1) online using a credit card, personal check or business check, 2) mailing a check; or 3) arranging for a PO through your campus/district.
• Please keep in mind that registration is not CONFIRMED until payment has been received. If you register, but have not paid (i.e. mailing or faxing a payment), your slot for the training is not secured until the payment is received. Please be sure to register and pay early. Once available slots for a session have been filled with CONFIRMED registrations, the registration for that session will close. If your registration has been received with no payment, and the session fills to capacity, you will receive an email indicating that you must register for a different session/location.
• As the number of unconfirmed registrations approaches or matches the capacity for a particular training, we may elect to temporarily close registrations for that training to allow time for offline payments to be received and processed. During this time new registrations will not be accepted for the training. * Each day, registration will begin at 7:45 am and training will be from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
